The Valkvlet "Compaen" has been with the current owner for more than 21 years, and together they have made many beautiful cruises at home and abroad.
In 2011 a durable Nanni (based on MAN) marine diesel engine of 150 hp was installed, tuned to deliver 135 hp, with reversing clutch, new propeller shaft and a 4-blade propeller. The steering system has hydraulics that are electrically controllable allowing you to turn the extended and reinforced rudder blade from port to starboard in a beat, making maneuvering very easy and eliminating the need for a stern thruster. There is also a remote control for steering on deck. What certainly stands out for the age of a Valkvlet is the electrical installation, it is very professional and extensively installed for the time.
The Valkvlet is panelled with mahogany and has solid teak floors. The layout is as you would expect from a Valkvlet with a cabin in the bow with V-bed, 2 lockers and 2 hanging lockers. The galley with sink (no less than 180 cm long) has a sink, built-in 3-burner stove, built-in oven and for hot water a Fasto geyser. Under the sink are 3 cabinets and under the gunwale, at the height of the sink, is also closet space for such things as plates and glasses. The bathroom has an electric toilet with macerator, sink and shower. In the salon you will find the steering position, a wall of cabinets, and right next to the galley in a cupboard is the Elektrolux refrigerator, which runs on gas/electricity. The settee is extendable to make an extra 2 person bed. The engine is placed in a sound-insulated engine box with exhaust so that it is minimally audible. In the open cockpit (with cockpit tent) are 2 benches and in the floor a large hatch to the "basement". In the aft cabin are 2 single beds.
