The Pieterse 850 is a striking and stylish polyester round-bilge motor yacht, designed as a practical motorboat for a day of boating, a weekend or longer holidays. With a shallow draft of 85 cm, a low vertical clearance of approximately 180 cm when the windshield is folded away, a 54 hp Yanmar engine and a bow thruster, this boat offers a large sailing area and a lot of manoeuvring comfort.
Thanks to its generous width of 3.40 metres, the Pieterse 850 has an exceptional amount of interior space for a length of 8.50 metres. The interior is made of warm teak and in the forward cabin there is a cozy spacious round seat that can easily be converted into a bed of approximately 200 x 160 cm. The galley is complete with worktop, sink, 3-burner stove and refrigerator. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower, and the headroom of 187 cm is a clear improvement over older models.
In the back, the boat has a spacious open cockpit with a spacious U-shaped seat, steering and plenty of storage space. The cockpit is equipped with a sprayhood and a rear tent, so that sailing remains comfortable in both sunny and less good weather. Under the backseat is a very spacious "basement" that is ideal as storage space but can also be used as an extra sleeping place, there are 2 (small) portholes available. The U-seat can easily be converted into a sunbed and a windbreaker can be placed around the open cockpit.
The appearance of the Pieterse 850 is striking and traditional, with a round bilge hull, wide gangways and a folding aluminium windscreen with wipers, giving the boat both character and practical functionality.
